Key Maintenance Points For Fiberglass Pultrusion Molding Equipment: Ensuring Stable Operation And Long-Term Efficiency

As a crucial piece of equipment in continuous production, the operational stability of fiberglass pultrusion molding equipment directly impacts product quality and production efficiency. Scientific maintenance management not only extends equipment lifespan but also reduces the risk of sudden malfunctions, forming a fundamental aspect of enhancing a manufacturer's competitiveness.

Daily maintenance should focus on cleaning and monitoring the condition of core components. The yarn truss system should be cleaned daily to remove broken yarns, dust, and residual resin, preventing fiber jamming or uneven tension. The preforming unit and impregnation tank should be regularly checked for the flexibility of the guide rollers and the state of resin circulation to prevent insufficient fiber wetting or resin aging and clumping. The heating mold, as the core of curing and molding, requires daily shutdown to remove surface residue and clear the flow channels with specialized tools to prevent localized overheating or uneven cooling that could lead to mold deformation. Simultaneously, the accuracy of the temperature control system should be monitored to ensure that temperature deviations in each zone are controlled within the allowable process range.

Periodic maintenance should be implemented in layers according to equipment operating time. Weekly lubrication checks should be performed on the drive chain and gearbox of the pultrusion machine, and chain tension should be adjusted to the standard value to prevent traction speed fluctuations due to wear. Monthly disassembly and cleaning of the impregnation tank filter screen, replacement of failed seals, and temperature rise testing of the motor and reducer are required, along with timely troubleshooting of abnormal bearing noise or vibration. Quarterly comprehensive calibration of the electrical control system is recommended, including contactor contacts, sensor sensitivity, and wiring insulation, to prevent process parameter deviations caused by signal interference.

Furthermore, long-term downtime maintenance is crucial. If the equipment is planned to be out of service for more than 7 days, the resin in the impregnation tank should be drained and the pipelines cleaned, and rust-preventive oil applied to metal parts. Before restarting, the load should be gradually increased according to the startup procedure, and a no-load test run should be conducted to observe the coordination of each module. Production can only resume after confirming there are no abnormalities.

Detailed records must be maintained during maintenance, including component replacement times, troubleshooting plans, and performance test data. Trend analysis should be used to predict potential risks. Only by implementing a "prevention-oriented, meticulous management" approach throughout the entire maintenance process can the pultrusion equipment continuously output high-quality products, creating stable profits for the company.
