GRP/FRP cylinders are widely used in gas storage and transportation fields due to their "corrosion resistance + lightweight" properties, and their forming requires balancing mold precision and demolding efficiency. This mold is optimized for the characteristics of GRP/FRP cylinders: Each cylinder section has an out-of-roundness of ≤1.5mm during processing, and the straightness of multiple connected sections is ≤2mm. Laser alignment and welding ensure the roundness of the cylinder body. The mold has no reverse taper structure throughout, and is matched with customized stripping rings and socket rings to solve the problems of difficult demolding and easy cylinder damage with traditional molds. The base material uses high-strength steel, which undergoes aging treatment to eliminate internal stress, and the surface is precision-ground to a roughness of Ra 1.6, ensuring the outer surface of GRP/FRP cylinders is smooth and the wall thickness is uniform. The front and rear joints are machined from thick-walled steel pipes, and the front joint is equipped with an anti-axial movement flange (diameter ≥DN300mm) to ensure axial stability during cylinder forming. The company can customize mold sizes according to cylinder volume (from small portable cylinders to medium-sized storage cylinders), and the mold is compatible with automated winding production lines to support mass production of GRP/FRP cylinders.
